What's actually shown: The first FDA-approved allogeneic islet cell therapy (donislecel-jujn), approved June 28, 2023, for adults with Type 1 diabetes unable to reach target HbA1c because of repeated severe hypoglycemia despite comprehensive diabetes management. Requires ongoing immunosuppression — doesn't meet this project's own durable-cure bar. Kept here as the approved comparison point, not a competitor in the race toward a durable cure.
